Privacy policy

The short version

Neuromine is free and needs no account. We do not ask who you are, we do not build a profile of you, we do not track your browsing, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone for advertising or any other unrelated purpose.

The only thing we process is the job advert text you choose to analyse — and only for as long as it takes to produce your analysis.

Using the website

When you paste or upload a job advert, the text is sent to our analysis service, processed by our detection rules and a language model, and returned to you as an analysis. The advert text is used only to produce that analysis.

We do not store your analyses against any identity, because there is no account and we never ask for your name or email. We do not use the adverts you submit to train public AI models.

To keep the free service available and to stop automated abuse, our servers apply a short-lived rate limit based on network address. That limit counter is held temporarily in memory and is not used to identify you or to build any profile.

Do not paste documents containing personal or confidential information into the analyser. It is built for public job adverts.

The browser add-on

The Neuromine add-on for Chrome and Edge exists for a single purpose: to read the visible text of a job advert on the page you are looking at, so you do not have to copy and paste it.

• It reads page text only when you explicitly trigger it by clicking the toolbar button or using the right-click menu item. It does not read pages in the background.
• It collects website content only — the advert text itself. It does not collect your name, email, health information, financial information, passwords or sign-in details, messages, or location.
• It does not record, store or transmit your browsing history or search history.
• The extracted advert text is passed to Neuromine.co.uk purely so the analysis can run, then discarded.
• All of the add-on's code is contained in the published package. It does not download or run remote code.

We certify that we do not sell or transfer user data to third parties outside the approved use cases, do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the add-on's single purpose, and do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Third parties we rely on

Running the site and the analysis involves a small number of service providers: a hosting and database provider that runs the site and the analysis service, and an AI provider that performs the language analysis on the advert text. These providers process the advert text only to deliver the service to you, under contract, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Retention

Advert text is processed transiently to generate your result and is not retained as a personal record. Temporary abuse-prevention counters expire automatically within 24 hours.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have rights to access, correct, erase, or restrict the use of personal data we hold about you. Because Neuromine has no accounts and holds no personal records, there is normally nothing to retrieve or delete — but if you believe we hold data about you, contact theo_cymru@hotmail.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

Neuromine is intended for people of working age and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes affecting the add-on will also be reflected in its Chrome Web Store listing.
