Privacy policy

The short version

Neuromine is free and needs no account. We do not ask who you are, we do not build a profile of you, we do not track your browsing, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone for advertising or any other unrelated purpose.

The only thing we process is the job advert text you choose to analyse, and normally only for as long as it takes to produce your analysis. If you choose to report that our advice looks wrong, we keep that advert, our analysis and any comment you add so we can check and improve the tool.

Using the website

When you paste or upload a job advert, the text is sent to our analysis service, processed by our detection rules and a language model, and returned to you as an analysis. The advert text is used only to produce that analysis.

We do not store your analyses against any identity, because there is no account and we never ask for your name or email. Adverts are only kept if you choose to send a report (see below), and even then they are not linked to any identity. We do not use the adverts you submit to train public AI models.

To keep the free service available and to stop automated abuse, our servers apply a short-lived rate limit based on network address. That limit counter is held temporarily in memory and is not used to identify you or to build any profile.

Do not paste documents containing personal or confidential information into the analyser. It is built for public job adverts.

Reporting a problem

If you click “This advice looks wrong”, we save the advert text, our analysis, the version of our rules that produced it, and any comment you write. Before saving, we replace email addresses and phone numbers with “[email removed]” and “[phone removed]”. We don't ask for or save your name, email, account or network address. Only we can read reports, along with our hosting provider where needed to run the service. We don't use reports to train AI models.

The browser add-on

The Neuromine add-on for Chrome and Edge exists for a single purpose: to read the visible text of a job advert on the page you are looking at, so you do not have to copy and paste it.

• It reads page text only when you explicitly trigger it by clicking the toolbar button or using the right-click menu item. It does not read pages in the background.
• It collects website content only — the advert text itself. It does not collect your name, email, health information, financial information, passwords or sign-in details, messages, or location.
• It does not record, store or transmit your browsing history or search history.
• The extracted advert text is passed to Neuromine.co.uk so the analysis can run, then discarded, unless you choose to report the result, in which case it is kept as described in “Reporting a problem”.
• All of the add-on's code is contained in the published package. It does not download or run remote code.

We certify that we do not sell or transfer user data to third parties outside the approved use cases, do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the add-on's single purpose, and do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Third parties we rely on

We use Lovable to host Neuromine and run the analysis. The AI model is set so the AI provider doesn't keep advert text or use it for training. Lovable keeps operational logs of each request for as long as needed to run and secure the service.

Retention

Advert text you analyse is processed to produce your result and isn't kept by us. If you send a report, we keep it for up to 12 months, or 90 days after we finish reviewing it if that's sooner, and then delete it automatically. Temporary counters we use to prevent abuse expire within 24 hours.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have rights to access, correct, erase, or restrict the use of personal data we hold about you. Because Neuromine has no accounts and holds no personal records, there is normally nothing to retrieve or delete — but if you believe we hold data about you, contact theo_cymru@hotmail.co.uk and we will respond within one month. Because reports contain no identifying details, we may not be able to find a specific one, but if you tell us roughly when you sent it and what the advert was, we will try to delete it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

Neuromine is intended for people of working age and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes affecting the add-on will also be reflected in its Chrome Web Store listing.
